Eyemouth Harbour Trust in Scotland has named Paul Olvhoj as its new Business and Community Growth Manager. Olvhoj brings over 25 years of international experience in the maritime and energy sectors. His career includes service in the Royal Navy, global energy roles, and vessel chartering. Most recently, he led commercial development at Orkney Harbour, including its Port Masterplan.
At Eyemouth, he will focus on building commercial opportunities and sustainable income streams. The appointment comes as the Trust progresses its £250 million Harbour Masterplan. The plan aims to drive regeneration, marine growth, and wider economic development across the South of Scotland. Olvhoj’s role will include working with industry, investors, and community partners.
Christine Bell, CEO of Eyemouth Harbour Trust, said: “Paul brings extensive commercial and maritime experience at a time when Eyemouth is preparing for its next phase of development.” She added: “His background in marine services, shipping and energy, together with his experience of harbour masterplanning, will support our work to deliver the Harbour Masterplan.”
Olvhoj said: “The harbour has significant potential to support local jobs, attract new business and contribute to the growth of the regional economy.” “I look forward to working with colleagues and partners to help realise that potential,” he added.
