One of Europe's most prestigious sailing events is preparing to celebrate a major milestone as The Superyacht Cup Palma marks its 30th anniversary this month.

The long-running Mallorcan regatta will welcome one of its largest fleets to date, combining classic superyacht racing with the owner-focused atmosphere that has defined the event since its launch. Racing takes place on the Bay of Palma from 25 to 27 June.

Event Owner and Director Kate Branagh said organisers were delighted with the level of participation. "We are beyond delighted to be able to welcome so many entries to our 30th anniversary," Branagh said. She added that a new Regatta Village layout at Club de Mar-Mallorca would recreate the dockside atmosphere that characterised earlier editions of the event.

A total of five racing classes will compete in 2026, including a dedicated multihull division for the first time and a separate YYachts class. The fleet will feature a blend of historic and modern designs. Among the headline attractions are the J-Class yachts Rainbow and Svea, which will race head-to-head in their own class. Four high-performance multihulls – Allegra, Gaea, Highland Fling and Layla – will also have a dedicated start and class.

Returning competitors include two-time winner Win Win, Oyster yacht Archelon, the Tripp-designed Cervo and Hoek Design's Atalante 1. Making their event debuts are the Perini Navi ketch Burrasca, Wally yacht Inco, Nautor Swan's Point Counter Point and Swan 88 Spiip. Six YYachts entries will contest their own division, with closer start intervals expected to provide intense racing.

The anniversary year also coincides with milestone celebrations for several event partners, including YYachts, Richard Mille, Carbo-Link, Marinepool and Hoek Design. The regatta opens on 24 June with registration, safety briefings and a welcome reception.

Competitive racing begins with the Pantaenius Race on 25 June, followed by the 30th Anniversary Race and St Regis Races before the event concludes on 27 June.
