The 21st Erne Pike Fishing Classic takes place from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026
The 21st Erne Pike Fishing Classic takes place from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026

Waterways Ireland advises masters of vessels of arrangements for the Erne Navigation and use of jetties during the 21st Erne Pike Fishing Classic, taking place from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October.

Bank fishing will take place between 10am and 5pm on Friday. During this time, the following Waterways Ireland jetties are reserved exclusively for event participants:

  • Round O – both jetties
  • Henry Street – both jetties
  • Castle Museum Jetty

Vessel access, landing and mooring at these jetties is prohibited during the designated event period.

On Saturday and Sunday, boat fishing will take place between 10.30am and 4.30pm each day, with some 133 boats participating in the competition.

Boats will be launched from the Round O Slipway and Bellanaleck Slipway, commencing at 8am.

The competition area will extend from Devenish Island on Lower Lough Erne to Knock Island on Upper Lough Erne.

Waterways Ireland asks all boaters and anglers to respect each other’s use of the Erne Navigation and to exercise due care and consideration at all times.

During the designated and approved event times, participating anglers have priority use of the identified Waterways Ireland jetties, and other users are requested to keep these facilities clear.

This priority applies only during the specified event times and at the designated jetties. Outside these event periods, normal use of the jetties applies.

Waterways Ireland says it’s delighted to welcome anglers to the Erne Navigation for this competition and wishes all participants the very best for a safe and successful event.
