Carrick Rowing Club honoured long-serving member Keith Nolan at its Christmas party last weekend.

Nolan was presented with a framed photograph of himself and his late wife, Annabella, in recognition of his contribution to the club.

Originally from Dublin, Nolan moved to Carrick-on-Shannon many years ago and quickly became involved in club life.

He served for years on the committee and was a constant presence at the club’s annual regatta and other events.

An accomplished photographer, Nolan documented club activities and provided extensive photographic records for the club’s website.

He also made a financial contribution towards the purchase of a new double scull, which was named in honour of Keith and Annabella.

Club members described the presentation as a gesture of thanks for his long and dedicated service.
