Galway City Museum, which hosts Ireland’s first marine science gallery, has been recognised as a Top Tourist Attraction in Tripadvisor’s 2020 Travellers Choice Awards.
The annual awards are based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews, ratings and comments for attractions around the globe.
And in the case of Galway City Museum, it’s the interactive, bilingual exhibition ‘Sea Science – The Wild Atlantic’, which opened in 2017, that has been garnering some of the most positive reviews from visitors.
“It’s a great achievement for the museum and the Marine Institute to receive this recognition from our visitors,” Harriet Dundon, marine science communication intern at Galway City Museum. “We look forward to safely reopening our exhibition soon.”
Galway City Museum has reopened its ground floor and first floor in line with public health guidelines. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday on for daily time slots. Admission is free but booking ahead is required at galwaycitymuseum.ie
