The EMFAF Annual Webinar 2026 on Wednesday 4 November, hosted by the Marine Institute, will showcase current progress, impacts and emerging technologies supported through the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund’s Data Collection, Marine Biodiversity and Marine Knowledge Schemes.
EMFAF is the EU’s financial instrument supporting the Common Fisheries Policy, EU Maritime Policy and international commitments in ocean governance.
This year’s programme will feature presentations highlighting the latest developments across a range of marine initiatives, including insights from the Crayfish Project on the application of acoustic telemetry to support bycatch management and promote lower-impact fisheries.
Attendees will also learn about new climate applications designed to strengthen marine climate observation capabilities and improve future climate projections.
Join from 11am to 1pm next Wednesday 4 November to hear from scheme partners, explore innovative approaches to marine research and management, and gain an overview of the valuable work being delivered under EMFAF-funded programmes.
