Dún Laoghaire’s St Patrick’s Day Parade will return for 2025, after last year’s successful revival, with St Patrick himself arriving on the Naval Service’s LÉ Samuel Beckett at Dún Laoghaire Harbour at the weekend to share the news.
Joined by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council chief executive Frank Curran and Cathaoirleach Jim O’Leary, as well as elected members, St Patrick heralded the return of the beloved community event, scheduled for 11am on Monday 17 March.
Starting at Islington Avenue (Newtownsmith) and ending at Marine Road, the parade will feature a variety of groups including Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann, Irish Coast Guard, Ukelele Hooley, Twilight twirlers, RNLI, Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns, Goat Boat Tours, local sports clubs, dancers and much more.
The parade is organised by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Dún Laoghaire Business Association.
