The winter lift-out of sailing cruisers in Dun Laoghaire Harbour was completed on Saturday, October 11, after an early morning start by two big mobile cranes. Approximately sixty yachts were removed from the chilly waters, amid otherwise near-perfect weather.
Both the Royal St. George Yacht Club and the National Yacht Club successfully lifted around 30 cruisers each using mobile cranes. The boats will be stored on the hardstanding at the waterfront clubhouses, a space that is in high demand.

Hours later, the National Yacht Club platform saw the majority of its cruiser fleet cradled ashore for the winter, remaining until April 2026.
Looking ahead, the winter DBSC Turkey Shoot Series will kick off on Sunday, November 2nd, featuring over 70 boats from the town marina, running until December 15. Meanwhile, the DMYC Dinghy Frostbite Series will begin the same day, offering in-harbour racing until March.
