The 30-foot sailing cruiser which sank at its mooring in Dún Laoghaire Harbour earlier this month was successfully removed from the water on Monday (21 September).
A team of divers carried out the recovery operation from the commercial workboat Puffin, with skipper Kenny Rumball among the recovery team.
The yacht had sunk in the harbour's East Bight on 10 September, close to the East Pier bandstand, leaving only its mast visible above the water. Containment booms were subsequently placed around the vessel as a precautionary environmental measure, as Afloat reported at the time.
Divers Complete Recovery
Tuesday's operation involved divers working from Puffin to recover the submerged cruiser, bringing to an end the operation in the East Bight nearly two weeks after the yacht sank.

Puffin's Salvage Role
Puffin was acquired by MarineServices.ie in early 2025 as part of an expansion of its commercial marine operations.
The steel workboat has a four-tonne deck winch and a crane certified to 2.1 tonnes at maximum reach, as well as deck space suitable for dive operations. MarineServices.ie lists dive support and salvage among the vessel's commercial roles, as previously reported by Afloat.
