The Irish Continental Group (ICG) has reported a 6% annual increase in revenue at Irish Ferries for the first 10 months of this year.
The Dublin-based group said in a trading update that it brought in €521m between January and October. This figure is up from €491 million for the same period in 2023.
Irish Ferries, with its routes to the UK and France and UK-France, carried 657,000 cars this year to date, an increase of 11% on the 592,100 carried from January-October last year.
Since ICG's previous trading update issued in August, Irish Ferries had transported 164,500 cars, which represented a 4.2% rise from the same three-month period the year prior.
The maritime transport group’s ferries division recorded a turnover of €376m for the first 10 months of 2024, which reflected an increase of 6.5% year-on-year.
