Francis Noel Duffy, an established artist and former TD, will launch an art exhibition on 14th June at Marino Church in Bantry. The show celebrates the centenary of the Fastnet Race.

Duffy will exhibit a series of paintings featuring iconic Cork lighthouses, including Fastnet, Mizen Head, and Galley Head.

The artist brings over 30 years of experience, influenced by his architectural background. His work blends abstraction and cubism, capturing the essence of these coastal structures.

“I’d like to thank Diarmuid Murphy and Bantry Bay Port Company for the wonderful venue,” said Duffy. He aims to investigate and preserve the unique presence of Ireland’s lighthouses through this exhibition.

“This series is part of a larger project to create a unique record of Ireland's lighthouses,” he added. The exhibition promises both artistic and historical significance for attendees.
