An Ed Dubois-designed Quarter Tonner, Diamond, has returned to the market on Afloat with an asking price of €13,500 after a previous sale fell through.
As regular Afloat readers will recall, the boat first went up for sale in January, but that deal has since fallen through, according to the seller.
Built in 1984 by John West in Lymington, the yacht underwent a significant refit between 2009 and 2010. The redesign was carried out by the Dubois office, with structural work completed by Ian Lovering of Ashdown Marine.
The upgrade programme included a new single-spreader Z Spar rig and a faired hull finished by Ovington Boats.
A full set of North Sails from 2022–2023 is included and is described as being in “perfect condition”.
Diamond carries an IRC rating of 0.897 and is offered with a four-wheel cradle trailer suitable for long-distance towing.
According to the owner, the boat is dry-sailed and typically competes in two to three regattas each season. It has recorded a strong run of results on Ireland’s south coast over the past three years.
Recent wins include the IRC Nationals, Sovereigns Cup, Calves Week, the offshore class of the Fastnet Race, and the April League.
The yacht is currently stored indoors and is available for inspection by appointment.
