Carlow’s men’s quadruple scull won a fantastically close final by just a tenth of a second from University of Limerick on the first day of the National Rowing Championships in Cork. The men’s senior four provided the expected win for NUIG, and Dave Heffernan gave Shandon a rare win, in the men’s lightweight single scull.
