Free forums for clubs on Afloat.ie

9th March 2009

Boating clubs and classes can now host their own forums and bulletin boards through Afloat.ie's popular forum section.

Clubs seeking an online space to host discussion and post event notices can take advantage of the offer free of charge.

A special Clubs and Classes section has been set up within the forum to allow smaller organisations their own online discussion and forum space within the Afloat.ie website.

All clubs have to do is have a committee member contact our webmaster with a request for a new section to be created in their name. Each new forum will require one reader to be nominated as a moderator to filter out any unwanted material from time to time.

Afloat.ie gets tens of thousands of hits every week, making it the perfect place to highlight the activities going on in your club, and even post race results, photos and event reports.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven’t put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full–time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
