Revenue is recruiting maritime officers for patrol duties on board Revenue Customs Cutters.
This role involves patrol at sea and conducting searches of all types of vessels for drugs, cigarettes and other prohibited and restricted items.
Successful applicants will be involved in high-profile operations working closely with An Garda Síochána and the Defence Forces, as well as international partners.
A key role will be developing intelligence and using a range of IT systems, including advanced analytics to target vessels engaged in smuggling.
Training will include maritime accredited courses, such as power boating, as well as specific training for searching vessels, working at heights and confined space entry using breathing apparatus.

The Cutter position offers an attractive 14-day roster where officers typically work eight days on board the Cutter at sea and six days off.
The starting salary is €29,694.08 plus enforcement and maritime allowances totalling €13,793.64.
