Irish Marine Federation Sets Athlone Event for November

Irish Marine Federation members and guests will meet in Athlone for the AGM and trade networking event
Irish Marine Federation members and industry guests will gather at the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone on 6 November for the AGM, sector meetings and a trade networking session.

The Irish Marine Federation will hold its 2025 annual general meeting and trade networking event in Athlone this November.

The gathering will take place on Thursday, 6 November, at the Hodson Bay Hotel in Co Roscommon.

A board meeting limited to directors runs from 11.30am to noon, followed by the IMF AGM for members from noon to 1pm.

An Irish Marina Operators Association meeting is scheduled from 2 pm to 3 pm and will be hosted by Paal Janson.

The trade networking session opens from 3 pm to 5 pm and is open to both members and non-members.

The IMF chairman will deliver the opening and welcome address, which will include an update covering 2024 to 2025.

Speakers include Mathew McGrory of Euro Marine, who will discuss marine leisure insurance in Ireland.

Morgan Smyth of Silver Line Cruisers will address the River Shannon boat rental market.

Marine surveyor Rory Carbury is set to speak on surveying in the leisure sector.

An open mic and questions session hosted by Janson will look at boat sales, chandlery and engineering trends.

A closing address by the IMF chairman for 2025–2026 is scheduled for 5 pm.

Attendees are invited to stay afterwards for tea, coffee or drinks.
