Dubarry has equipped the all-female crew of The Famous Project CIC with its Crosshaven offshore sailing boots for a landmark ocean challenge. The crew has become the first all-women team to complete the Jules Verne Trophy, sailing non-stop around the globe aboard the maxi trimaran IDEC SPORT.

The project was led by Alexia Barrier, who assembled a world-class crew to set the first reference time for a female team in the challenge.

After 57 days, 22 hours and 20 minutes at sea, the crew finished at 12:00 UTC, crossing between Ushant and the Lizard. They endured some of the planet’s harshest seas. Until now, only three women had ever completed a non-stop multihull circumnavigation.

Dubarry said the Crosshaven boots delivered durability, grip, waterproof protection and comfort throughout the voyage. The company said the partnership reflects its focus on safety and performance in extreme offshore sailing.

The Famous Project CIC aims to increase women’s representation at the highest level of ocean racing and inspire future generations of sailors.
