The Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award has opened entries for its 17th edition, inviting professional photographers worldwide to submit their best racing images. Founded in 2010, the competition recognises standout photography capturing the intensity and visual appeal of yacht racing.
Entries are open for images taken between 13 October 2025 and 12 October 2026.
Organisers said the award continues to serve as a global benchmark in sailing photography, supported by Pantaenius. Eighty shortlisted images will be published online, with the public invited to vote for a separate award. The top 20 photographs will be displayed during the Metstrade exhibition in Amsterdam.
Event organiser Bernard Schopfer said the award plays a key role in the sport. “The Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award has become a key moment in the sailing season,” he said. He added that photographers help bring visibility to the sport and its athletes.
The prizegiving will take place during the Yacht Racing Forum in Amsterdam on 20 November. Cash prizes include €1,500 for the overall winner, €750 for second place, €250 for third place, and a €500 public prize.
Entries close on 12 October.
