Professional sailing photographers have until 12 October to submit entries for the 2026 Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award, with images taken since 15 October 2025 eligible for this year’s competition.
Now in its 17th edition, the international photography contest celebrates yacht racing and is supported by Pantaenius Yacht Insurances.
Yacht Racing in All Its Forms
The competition is open to professional photographers worldwide and covers yacht racing across a broad range of disciplines.
Eligible subjects include classic yachts, modern racing yachts, multihulls, foilers, dinghies, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
An international jury will select the leading images. The panel comprises 2025 award winner Martina Orsini, Marzio Perrelli of The America's Cup, Anna Schroeder of Pantaenius Group, photographers Mark Henley and Kurt Arrigo, Victoria Low of The Magenta Project and Natalie Fortier of SailGP.
Top 20 Images for Metstrade Exhibition
The top 20 marine photographs will be displayed at Metstrade in Amsterdam from 17–19 November 2026.
A public vote will also run from 20 October to 14 November, giving sailing followers an opportunity to choose their favourite image.
The awards ceremony will take place on 20 November during the Yacht Racing Forum in Amsterdam.
€3,000 Prize Fund
The overall winner of the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award will receive €1,500, with €750 for second place and €250 for third. The winner of the Public Award will receive an additional € 500.
