RYA Northern Ireland Recruiting for New Board Directors

RYA Northern Ireland is recruiting for three new board director positions — two independent directors and one nominated director — to help deliver its Navigating the Future strategy.

The board is particularly keen to hear from people with skills or experience in marketing, sponsorship, fundraising, communications and PR, measuring and understanding impact, sailing or sports development, and charity governance.

Applications are welcome from people with or without a sailing or boating background.

RYANI chair Gavin Watson and chief executive Greg Yarnall say it’s an exciting time to get involved, with club membership and participation continuing to grow across Northern Ireland.

Directors are appointed for a three-year term, with the board meeting six times a year plus the AGM. The role is unremunerated, though reasonable travel and subsistence expenses are covered.
