The Ardmore Christmas Day Swim has raised €5,533.51 for Youghal RNLI following its annual festive fundraiser in Co Waterford. Funds were generated through a raffle held at St Declan’s Hall in early December, followed by the traditional Christmas Day swim.
The cheque presentation took place at The Urchin Bar in Ardmore. Organisers said the strong total reflected continued local support for RNLI services.
Representatives from both the Ardmore Christmas Swim group and Youghal RNLI attended the presentation.
Those present included Mary Murray, Kieran Fitzgerald, Siobhán Murray and April Dunne, alongside John Hearn, John Innis and Kieran Nolan of Youghal RNLI. Youghal RNLI provides a vital search and rescue service along the East Cork and West Waterford coastline.
