Symposium: Women and the Sea

#Symposium: Women and the Sea, begins with a free public lecture on the night of the 25 September. This is to be followed the next day with a ticketed Symposium held on 26th September.

Both events are to held in the National Maritime Museum of Ireland in Dun Laoghaire.

The all-day Symposium aims to promote greater awareness and understanding of the important roles that women have played, and continue to play, in marine and maritime culture, science, and industry.

In a joint venture between University College Dublin and the National Maritime Museum of Ireland, the symposium brings together researchers from the humanities, sciences, industry and heritage sectors, and welcomes participation from all interested individuals and groups.
