Royal Irish's Barry Cunningham has scored three straight wins in a blustery first day of racing in the IRC One division of Volvo Cork Week Regatta, according to provisional results.

Cunningham, helming one of the four J/109 designs in this division, has built an early six-point cushion in the seven-boat fleet over Matthew Chubb's First 35 First Light from Royal Western YC, which scored 5,2,2.
