After race four was abandoned due to Storm Bert and last weekend's race six lost to Storm Darragh, a 72-boat DBSC Turkey Shoot fleet aims to sign off on the final race of the country's pre-Christmas sailing series with race seven – and the application of a discard – on Sunday, December 15th.
Overall, after four sailed the Beneteau 31.7 Camira tops the scoreboard from the J80 Derry Girls, with the Sunfast 37, Brizo lying third.
With a strong westerly wind forecast, the 24th series is scheduled to conclude this Sunday. Forecasters say west winds will gust to over 32 mph on the Dublin Bay race track.
Festivities and prizegiving under new DBSC Commodore Jacqueline McStay, will be held in the Wet Bar of the Royal Irish Yacht Club from 12 noon onwards.
