The "K2Q 2024 " Kingstown (Dun Laoghaire) to Queenstown (Cobh) Race sailing instructions have been published (downloadable below) as a quality fleet builds for the 160-miler this Friday (July 12th).
Orgainsers ISORA and SCOR say entry remains open for the race, and last Saturday's Royal St George IRC Zero Regatta winner Johnny Treanor's Valentina is a notable addition to the fleet.
The "K2Q 2024 " Kingstown (Dun Laoghaire) to Queenstown (Cobh) Race (formerly known as the 'Fastnet 450' during COVID years) will start from Dun Laoghaire on Friday, July 12 at 11.a.m.
Long-range weather forecasts indicate a light northerly wind for the start of the race at least.

In addition to the current entry below, several key Cork campaigns have yet to be listed, including the 2022 race winner, the Grand Soleil 40, Nieulargo, under the command of Royal Cork Admiral Anne-Marie Fegan.
An Under 25 Kinsale Yacht Club crew is also entered from the south coast in an optimised Sunfast 3300.

The current entry list for the K2Q 2024 that remains open in advance of Friday's July 12th start
"This is a joint SCORA/ISORA race and we will be using trackers for following the race and safety features. "There are 20 entries presently, including three South Coast boats with very tidy crews aboard. This is looking like a very tasty race," co-organiser Daragh Connolly the SCORA Commodore told Afloat.

Five Welsh boats are entered and several entrants from June's Round Ireland, including the ISORA series leader, the JPK 1030, Cochin from Belfast Lough all in the line up.
