SailGP has announced the return of the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix to Geneva for the 2026 season. The event will take place on 19–20 September, marking the second consecutive year the league visits the Swiss city. The two-day regatta will once again see Lake Geneva host the high-speed F50 catamarans, with the Switzerland SailGP Team competing on home waters.

The 2025 edition drew over 8,500 ticketed spectators and was hailed as the biggest event ever staged on the lake. Tens of thousands lined the shores and tuned in from around the world, with 19.5 million watching the broadcast.

SailGP CEO Sir Russell Coutts said, “Returning to Geneva is a significant moment for SailGP and our fans. In 2025, the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix became one of the most attractive outdoor sporting events ever hosted in the city.” He added, “Together with our partner Rolex, we’re bringing an expanded fan experience and world-class hospitality.”

Arnaud Boetsch, Rolex Director of Communication and Image, said: “We are proud to welcome the Rolex SailGP Championship back to the home of Rolex. The event reflects our shared commitment to sailing’s future.” Switzerland SailGP Team driver Sébastien Schneiter said racing at home gave the team an added edge. “There’s nothing better than the feeling of that home support,” he said.

Geneva replaces Saint-Tropez on the 2026 calendar and will be the 11th stop of the season, just before a double-header finale in the UAE. Tickets go on sale in February.
