World Sailing's 2025 Annual Conference will take place this November at Dun Laoghaire Harbour on Dublin Bay, Ireland.
The conference headed up by World Sailing President Quanhai Li brings together 400 international delegates from around the world to plan future events, shape the direction of the sport. It celebrates the achievements of sailing on and off the water and puts Dun Laoghaire on the world map as the hub for sailing ideas and collaboration. The bid is supported by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
It is the second time the east coast town has hosted the gathering, the first time being in 2012.
Held every year over a six-day period in early November, the Annual Conference includes committee meetings, Council meetings, World Sailing awards and the Annual General Meeting and provides a forum to share best practices, generate new ideas and create concepts for the continuous development in all aspects of sailing.
As Afloat reported, Irish sailors are heavily involved in the organisation, chairing two World Sailing Committees for 2025-2028. The conference will be held at the Royal Marine Hotel and the waterfront yacht clubs and will run from Sunday, 2nd November to Saturday, 8th.

In a busy year for the harbour that hosts Ireland's biggest regatta in July, the return visit of the world body comes at an appropriate time for the 200-year-old Irish harbour's regeneration, with designs for a new national watersports campus on the drawing board and an Olympic Sailing Centre in prospect.

The conference creates significant local spending, including approximately 1,500 hotel nights and spending on local transport, restaurants, and cultural activities.
