The Howth Yacht Club First 50 Checkmate will miss the third race of the ISORA Musto Viking Marine Coastal Series off Dun Laoghaire Harbour, but an otherwise buoyant 14-boat fleet will contest the four-hour fixture this Sunday.

As regular Afloat readers know, ISORA's biggest entry was runner up in IRC Two at the RORC Easter Challenge in Cowes last weekend with a double British Olympic Gold medalist on the helm, but now must confront a 'big jobs list' after three days of Solent competition before returning to the Irish Sea, according to co-skipper Dave Cullen.

A fleet of up to 14 boats will contest the third of four races for the Vincent Farrell Trophy, which sees Paul O'Higgins's Rockabill VI in the overall lead after two contrasting races to date.

Moderate southerly winds are forecast. The course for Sunday will be selected on Saturday.
