A strong fleet of 23 boats is now entered for Saturday’s ISORA Viking Marine Coastal Series race in Dun Laoghaire, underlining growing early-season interest in the 2026 campaign.
Following last weekend’s opening contest, which saw several boats testing early-season form, attention now turns to a fleet that continues to build in both numbers and depth.
The second race in the five-race coastal series will start at 11:00, with all classes competing on the same course and an expected duration of three to four hours.

Entries already received indicate a competitive line-up across the IRC divisions. Among those expected on the start line are last weekend's overall winner, the J122 Aurelia, the NMD 43 Cristina, the Sydney GTS 43 El Syd, Loinnir, Indian, Katanca, Ruth, and ReQuest, alongside a mix of established campaigners and newer arrivals.
The opening race highlighted the tight margins typical of early ISORA competition, with crews balancing new setups and evolving conditions as the offshore season gathers pace.
Double-handed entries again add interest, with boats such as Loinnir and Katanca contributing to a growing short-handed cohort in the series.
The Dun Laoghaire coastal format continues to provide a compact but tactical test, with courses set to bring the fleet back to finish between the harbour piers.

With online entry still open, organisers are expecting further additions to the start list ahead of the weekend, as the Viking Marine Coastal Series gathers momentum into its second round.
