ISORA's seventh offshore race of the 2026 Musto Championship will finish at Greystones Harbour Marina instead of Arklow, organisers have confirmed.
The 75-mile race from Pwllheli on Saturday, July 25, had been listed throughout the season as finishing at a venue "to be confirmed". While the original draft schedule identified Arklow as the intended destination, ISORA has now opted for Greystones Harbour Marina.
ISORA Chairman Peter Ryan announced the change to competitors this week after securing support from Greystones Harbour Marina and Greystones Sailing Club.
"I spoke with Greystones Marina and they are happy to host a finish for the offshore from Pwllheli on the 25th July," Ryan said.
"I notified Greystones Sailing Club also. The course would be direct to Greystones with an 08.00 start at Pwllheli."
The race is the seventh offshore contest of the championship and follows a busy first half of the season that has included the Irish Sea crossings to and from Holyhead, the Liverpool to Douglas Midnight Race, the Round Ireland Race, Kingstown to Queenstown (K2Q), and both the Irish and Welsh Coastal Series.
The revised finish will also bring the fleet to the home port of one of ISORA's leading competitors, Frank Whelan's Ker 43 El Syd, giving Greystones a strong local interest in the event. Whelan's yacht has enjoyed another impressive campaign, featuring prominently in both the Round Ireland Race and K2Q.
Greystones will host the fleet again five weeks later for the Dún Laoghaire to Greystones race, making the County Wicklow marina a focal point of the closing stages of the 2026 ISORA season.
