The Etchells 22 class will return to Cork Week in 2026, hosting its European Championships in Crosshaven from 6–10 July.

It will be the first time the Etchells have raced at the biennial regatta since 1990—the same year the QE2 made her maiden visit to Cork.

The Royal Cork Yacht Club will host the fleet and has confirmed it will use the same course area that has served as the venue for previous world championships.

Crosshaven House has been secured as accommodation for many of the crews, with additional local lodging available at competitive rates.

Several Cowes-based boats have already committed to the event, and charter boats from the UK fleet will be available for international entries.

“The Etchells class continues to thrive across the UK, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada and New Zealand,” organisers said in a statement.
