With all five results in the top three, Niall O'Brien and Ronan O'Briain made a clean sweep on home waters of the 2025 Flying Fifteen Western Championships at Rossaveal in Connemara, County Galway.
The Rossaveal duo discarded a third to finish on five nett points, some six points clear of Waterford Harbour's Lee Statham and Andy Paul in second. Third was Strangford Lough's Peter Kennedy and Stephen Kane, leaving the country's biggest Flying Fifteen centre at Dun Laoghaire without a place on the Western Championship podium. 14 competed under Principal Race Officer Brian Matthews.
