Two young sailors from Cove Sailing Club in Cork Harbour claimed overall victory at the RS Feva Eastern Championships in Greystones, Co Wicklow, over the weekend. Alex Mills and Eoin Jones represented Cove SC at the event, which attracted 42 boats across four RS classes at Greystones Sailing Club.

The fleet included 14 RS Fevas, 7 RS Aeros, 13 RS 200s, and 8 RS 400s. Competitors completed five races over two days in demanding conditions.

Sailors spent more than 10 hours on the water and covered over 40km in winds gusting above 28 knots. Mills and Jones delivered a consistent series in the RS Feva fleet, recording three race wins and two second-place finishes to secure the overall championship title.
