Ian Croxon in SOD 121 won the six-race Shannon One Design Championship at Lough Ree Yacht Club, topping a 38-boat fleet after racing from Saturday, 1 August to Friday, 7 August.
Croxon completed the championship with an impressive 10 points net from five counting races, three points clear of David Dickson in SOD 73 on 13 points.
Andrew Mannion, sailing SOD 97, took third overall on 23 points, with Aidan Breen (85) fourth on 28 and Margaret Delany (37) fifth on 32.
Croxon Scores Two Wins
The championship permitted one discard from the six races, and Croxon's scoreline was particularly consistent. He counted a fourth, first, second, first and second, discarding his 13th in the final race.
Dickson opened with second, third and first before an OCS in Race 4. He recovered immediately to win Race 5 and finished sixth in the final race.
Mannion won the opening race and, after discarding an OCS from Race 4, added fifth, tenth, third and fourth to secure the final podium place.

McMullin Tops Silver Fleet
Graham McMullin in SOD 160 was the leading Silver Fleet sailor and sixth overall on 41 points.
Harman Murtagh (176) was seventh overall on 43, one point ahead of Race 6 winner Sam McMullin (67), who finished eighth on 44.
Sam Hatfield (101) was ninth on 49, with Laurence Hanley (118), second in the final race, completing the overall top ten on 54 points.
The championship attracted 38 entries to Lough Derg for the traditional Shannon One Design competition.
Starter’s Gun Trophy: Breen Wins 15-Race Series
Aidan Breen in SOD 85 won the Starter’s Gun Trophy, decided over all 15 races sailed during the Shannon One Design programme at Lough Derg, with no discard.
Breen finished on 101 points, ten points clear of David Dickson (73) on 111, with Sam McMullin (67) third on 142.
Margaret Delany (37) was fourth with 149 points, while David Algeo (138) completed the top five on 153.
Breen's consistency across the longer series included a race win and ten top-eight finishes, giving him the overall trophy despite Ian Croxon (121) taking the separate six-race Shannon One Design Class Championship.
Croxon, whose championship score of ten points gave him the class title by three points, finished 12th in the 15-race all-races series on 235 points.
