Howth Yacht Club will host the four-day Sigma 33 Offshore One-Design Championships from Thursday to Sunday, 26-29 June.

This will be the first time since 2018 that the event takes place in the south of Ireland, and the first time it has been held at Howth Yacht Club. The eagerly awaited regatta will feature a fleet of Sigma 33s from across the UK and Ireland, with confirmed entries from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and southern England, along with Irish competitors from Dublin and Waterford.

Over four days, sailors will take to the waters off Howth for up to 12 races, with Scorie Walls, recently returned from duties at WIORA on Clew Bay, serving as Race Officer.

"We're delighted to welcome the Sigma 33 class to Howth for the first time," said Kevin Monks, Commodore of Howth Yacht Club. "This is a significant event for our club, and we look forward to delivering world-class racing and warm Irish hospitality for visiting sailors and supporters. We thank Fingal County Council for their support." I

In addition to the racing, HYC will host a variety of off-the-water social activities over the weekend.
