Weather Halt: DBSC Water Wags will remain ashore in Dún Laoghaire after race officer Tadgh Donnelly cancelled Wednesday racing due to forecasts of strong winds on Dublin Bay

Strong wind forecasts have forced the cancellation of this evening’s AIB DBSC Water Wag racing on Dublin Bay.

DBSC race officer Tadgh Donnelly confirmed that Wednesday night’s Water Wag programme, scheduled for May 13, would not proceed due to expected conditions.

The cancellation follows the earlier abandonment of DBSC Tuesday dinghy racing, which was also called off because of forecast weather conditions.

The latest cancellations interrupt the opening weeks of the 2026 Dublin Bay racing season, which had already delivered brisk conditions for Water Wag competitors in recent outings.
