Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) has announced a temporary change to Saturday's race management after committee boat Freebird was taken out of service.
Cruiser 0, Cruiser 1, Blue Fleet and Red Fleet competitors will start from the West Pier Hut on Saturday, 25 July, instead of the usual committee boat. The arrangement applies for one day only while Freebird remains out of commission.
The club has published its West Pier Hut race schedule, which is used only in exceptional circumstances.
Sailors are advised that Cruiser 3, Ruffian 23, Shipman, Glen, Mermaid and Dublin Bay 21 fleets will have slightly later start times than normal under the revised schedule.
DBSC has also reissued the relevant West Pier Hut Sailing Instructions and Course Card 2 for Saturday's racing.
Meanwhile, Corinthian will act as the committee boat for Green Fleet racing. That fleet's normal schedule will remain unchanged.
In a notice to members, DBSC Commodore Jacqueline McStay thanked competitors for their patience.
"Thank you for your understanding and we hope to have Freebird back in action as soon as possible," she said.
The club has urged competitors to familiarise themselves with the revised start times and sailing instructions before racing.
