Howth Yacht Club has clarified that the traditional Lambay Lady award from Saturday's Lambay Race was won by Stephen Quinn's Class 2 yacht and not by the Howth 17 Isobel as previously reported.
The club issued the clarification following a number of queries received after initial reports of the race.
While Isobel, sailed by Conor and Brian Turvey, did not take the Lambay Lady award, the Howth 17 produced one of the standout performances of the day by winning her class by 5 minutes 14 seconds over the 1907-built Deilginis.

The margin was particularly notable in a class normally associated with exceptionally close racing. Third place went to Orla, sailed by Marc FitzGibbon and Donal Gallagher, just 34 seconds behind Deilginis.

Elsewhere, one of the closest contests of the race came in Class 1, where Simon Knowles' J/109 Indian finished just 30 seconds ahead of Johnny and Suzy Murphy's sistership Outrajeous.
Howth Yacht Club is expected to publish a full report early next week.
