A 13-boat non-spinnaker fleet opened the May League at the Royal Cork Yacht Club with one race completed on a grey May 1 Cork Harbour evening.
In Echo Class 1, Holly Blue (Red Admiral, Eric Lisson) took the win on corrected time. Elegance (Sun Odyssey 36i, Paul O’Shea) was second, with Mach 2 (Sun Fast 3200, Darragh McCarthy) third.

Echo Class 2 saw Labous Gwen (Dufour 30 Classic, Louise O’Keeffe) take victory. Fast Buck (Impala 28, John O’Connor) finished second, with Loch Greine (Hanse 311, Tom O’Mahony) third.
In the IRC fleet, Holly Blue again led the results. Miss Whiplash (Half Tonner, John & Ronan Downing) was second, with Morning After (S&S 34, Andy Jenkins) third.
