The Irish crew was helmed by 22-year-old Harry Twomey and included Seafra Guilfoyle, Paddy Crosbie and William Twomey. Competing against some of the world's leading amateur keelboat sailors, the Cork team produced a series of solid results across the week in varied and challenging conditions.
"We had an amazing week in Marseille with fantastic racing throughout," said Twomey. "As a team, we have been building steadily at every event, and this top-10 finish at the World Championships is a real testament to that hard work and teamwork. We are really excited for the rest of the season."
The result marks a significant achievement for the Royal Cork crew and continues a strong run of Irish performances on the international J/70 circuit.
