Irish youth organisation Foróige has announced a new partnership with Sail Training Ireland, aimed at enhancing young people’s development through leadership and sail training programmes onboard tall ships.

This collaboration will integrate Foróige’s Leadership for Life Programme with Sail Training Ireland’s experiential maritime training voyages, providing young people with unique opportunities to develop essential life skills, leadership qualities and a sense of adventure.

“We are excited to partner with Sail Training Ireland to offer young people an extraordinary blend of leadership training and sail training adventures.” said Seán Campbell, CEO of Foróige.

“This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to empower young people and foster their personal growth. It provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to grow in confidence, discover their personal strengths, and develop skills that will stay with them for life.”

Daragh Sheridan, CEO of Sail Training Ireland added: “Together, we will provide transformative experiences that inspire and equip young people with the skills they need to navigate their futures successfully.

“We see the ability for participants to gain a recognised level six qualification on completion of the full programme as a game changer.”

More details on the collaboration can be found on the Sail Training Ireland website HERE.

Sail Training Ireland recently launched its tall ship sail training voyage calendar for 2025, as previously reported on Afloat.ie.
