Trinity Tops at University Championships

Greater depth across the range of rowing events gave Trinity the overall title at the Irish Universities’ Rowing Championships at the National Rowing Centre in Cork. UCD beat Queen’s in the men’s senior eights final, which brought them the Wylie Cup for men, as victory in the other two eights finals had been split between Queen’s (intermediate) and Trinity (novice). UCD also won the Bank of Ireland trophy for women, taking the senior eights title, while Trinity and NUIG took the intermediate and novice titles respectively.
