UCD Take Fours Title and Put Henley Defeat Behind Them

UCD won the senior fours title at the National Rowing Championships at the National Rowing Centre in Cork, beating NUIG/Grainne Mhaol into second – reversing the result when the two crews met at Henley Royal Regatta. The margin was an emphatic 3.9 seconds. Skibbereen’s Shelly Dineen and Denise Walsh won the women’s senior double scull. In one of the closest races on a very good day of action, St Joseph’s of Galway beat Bann by .5 of a second in the men’s Junior 18A eight.
