Ireland Quadruple Wins Again at London Met

#Rowing: For the second day in succession, Ireland’s under-23 lightweight quadruple won at London Metropolitan Regatta. The Skibbereen/UCD/UCC/Shandon combination had 1.4 seconds to spare over Tees Rowing Club in the elite class.

 UCD and Commercial placed fourth and fifth in an eights race which included elite and intermediate crews.

 Andrew Goff won the elite lightweight single sculls. The intermediate three coxed four from Presentation College were second.

Sculling - Quadruple - Elite: 1 UCC, Skibbereen, UCD, Shandon 6:29.52. Senior: 2 Tara 6:30.19.

Double - Elite: 2 Tideway Scullers' (N Kenny, J Dunley) 6:59.01; 4 Skibbereen, UCC (J McCarthy, D Synnott) 7:10.34.  

Single - Elite Lightweight: 1 UCD (A Goff) 7:48.18. Senior: 3 UCC (A Harrington) 7:42.06. Inter One: 2 Goff 7:52.31.

Fours – Elite, coxed: 3 Trinity (P Moreau, M Corcoran, L Hawkes, M Kelly; cox: C Flynn) 6:34.88. Intermediate Two, coxed: 1 UCC (S Murphy, T Power, B Keohane, D Keohane; cox: R O’Leary) 6:48.31.
