In a delightful tradition, thirty members of the Carrickfergus Sailing Club gathered on December 27th for the annual Day after Boxing Day cruise to Belfast Harbour.

Despite the lack of sunshine, the weather was surprisingly calm and relatively warm, making for an enjoyable outing on the water.

The group set sail from the club, located on the scenic north shore of Belfast Lough, heading towards the AC Marriott Hotel nestled at Donegal Quay along the River Lagan.

While two boats journeyed to the hotel for a festive lunch, other members opted for a convenient train ride to the city.

Upon arrival, the group relished a meal at the hotel, sharing stories and laughter.

The day ended at the clubhouse, where members gathered to celebrate the spirit of community and the joys of sailing.

This annual event continues to strengthen bonds among club members, creating cherished memories year after year.
