Sailability was a special feature of the 2025 Cockle Island Boat Club (CIBC) Regatta on Belfast Lough.

Cockle Island Boat Club is an RYA-affiliated club in Groomsport.

There were 18 starters in its annual regatta, and although the wind was light and flukey, it didn't stop most sailors from finishing the course.

Among the crew on three of the fleet in the Whitesail YTC division were Sailability sailors.

Bailey Bennett was on Celtic Spirit (CIBC and Belfast Lough Sailability) with Dave Goodfield, Claire Trimble was on her boat PKay and she also belongs to both clubs. Yomper had Lex McCoubrey and Fred Bell of CIBC, Belfast Lough Sailability and Carrickfergus SC on board.

A special Cockle Island Boat Club prize was awarded to 12-year-old Bailey Bennett. The trophy was custom-made by Campbell Gardner and represented a North Cardinal with a flashing light at the top.A special Cockle Island Boat Club prize was awarded to 12-year-old Bailey Bennett. Sailability has two centres in Northern Ireland: at Carrickfergus on the north shore of Belfast Lough and at Foyle Port Marina in Derry. It has sailors in several clubs.
