Blazing bonfires and spectacular light shows are promised on beaches around the coast for Culture Night on September 18th.
A "chain of light along the Atlantic seaboard" is promised for "Bop ar an Trá", from An Rinn in the south to Árainn Mhór in the north, when "Muintir na Gaeltacht will be stepping out and dancing under the stars".
The events are being organised by Ealaín na Gaeltachta,the Gaeltacht arts partnership between Údarás na Gaeltachta and An Chomhairle Ealaíon

Ballinasloe, The Ring
Morgan de Míonbhíol from Cheol Dearg, will perform dance music / drum and bass. A wild evening that will bring the community together to celebrate the Irish language and Gaeltacht culture on the Déise coast.
The Estuary, Cape Clear Island
Aedín Cosgrove - lighting designer from Cape Clear, will create something special with lights, music, fun, and storytelling.
Ballinskelligs (Baile an Scelig), Iveragh Peninsula, Co. Kerry
Festival DJs and rapper James Shannon will bring an exciting mix of music and local sounds to life. A tour of the famous dark skies of the Iveragh Peninsula with an astronomer will connect music, art, and the wonder of nature.
Béal Bán, Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry
Fire artist Darach Ó Murchú will lead an immersive celebratory event focused on sound, language, memory, and contemporary culture.
The Old Pier, Spiddal, Co. Galway
Céilí on the Pier – An inclusive and entertaining experience that will strengthen the community's connection with traditional culture and encourage participation in traditional music.
Cill Chiarain Community Centre, Central Connemara
Bop on the Street will take place to bring people together and create a friendly social atmosphere. There will be a BBQ in the evening, live performances from local musicians, and an Irish-language disco featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary music.
Arranmore Island (Árainn Mhór), Co. Donegal
Music from DJ Dan and local young people on the decks; harbor walls transformed into a canvas for a photographic exhibition; a bee bonfire and a parade for young people.
