One of the largest cruise ships visiting Cork Harbour this year, the 143,700-tonne Majestic Princess, made another call to Cobh Cruise Terminal on Tuesday (11 August).
The 330-metre Princess Cruises vessel, which can accommodate around 3,560 passengers, arrived at Cobh at 7 am and was scheduled to depart at 5pm.

13 Cobh Calls for Majestic Princess
Majestic Princess is playing a particularly prominent role in Cork's 2026 cruise season, with 13 visits scheduled — the highest number of calls by an individual ship in this year's programme.
Tuesday's visit will not be her last this month. She is scheduled to return to Cobh on Monday, 17 August and again on Friday, 28 August.
She is not, however, the biggest vessel on the 2026 schedule. The 181,000-tonne MSC Virtuosa, with capacity for more than 6,300 passengers, is among the larger ships due at Cobh and will close the Cork cruise season in October.
Record 103 Cruise Calls for Cork
The Port of Cork has scheduled 103 cruise ship calls between April and October this year, a 14 per cent increase on 2025 and the largest cruise programme in the Republic of Ireland.
Of these, 81 are scheduled for Cobh's dedicated cruise terminal, with another 16 at Ringaskiddy and six at Cork City quays. Cruise tourism is estimated to contribute €17 million annually to the local economy.
The season continues at Cobh on Thursday (13 August) with the smaller Insignia, while Majestic Princess returns four days later.
