Dublin City Council has issued a flooding risk update as adverse weather continues to affect the capital.
A further Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Dublin by Met Éireann, valid from 3am Thursday to 3am Friday.
River levels remain high, ground conditions are saturated, and a high tides advisory is in place. More rainfall is forecast.
The council said it is “monitoring river levels and coastal conditions closely” and remains in contact with the National Emergency Coordination Group.
As a precaution, coastal car parks at Sandymount and Clontarf remain closed. The Clontarf cycle lane is also closed due to the risk of wave overtopping.
Flood defences at Eden Quay Boardwalk and along the River Dodder remain closed until further notice.
Council crews are active across the city, clearing debris from rivers and responding to issues as they arise.
Dublin City Council confirmed it holds a limited supply of sandbags, deployed where flooding risk is identified, with priority given to critical infrastructure.
For urgent flooding issues, the public is advised to contact Dublin City Council Customer Services on 01 222 2222, or 01 222 3150 outside working hours.
