Plans for Ireland's proposed National Watersports Campus have entered the public consultation phase following the launch of a dedicated project website. The consultation is now open, with submissions invited until 'Friday 31 July'.
The new website here outlines the vision for the proposed development and provides details of the project's future plans.
Members of the public can make an online submission through the 'Future Plans'section of the website or by selecting the 'Make a Submission' link in the site's footer.
Project organisers are encouraging anyone with an interest in the development of Irish watersports to take part in the consultation and place their views on the public record before the closing date.
To support the consultation process, two public engagement events have also been scheduled.
An online information webinar will take place on Tuesday 14 July from 7pm to 8pm, while a public drop-in session will be held on Wednesday 15 July between 4pm and 7pm in the Assembly Hall, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire.
Both events are intended to give members of the public an opportunity to learn more about the proposals and ask questions before making a submission.
As Afloat reported recently, Dun Laoghaire sailor Paddy Boyd told Newstalk Radio the project remains central to long-term development of the south Dublin harbour.
